1
Lens Assessment and Masking
We start by inspecting each lens to gauge the depth of oxidation, yellowing, and surface scratching. Surrounding paint and trim are carefully masked with tape to protect them during sanding. This preparation lets our technicians work aggressively on the lens without risking damage to nearby panels.
2
Wet Sanding and Compounding
Using progressively finer grits, we wet sand the lens to strip back the hazed, degraded outer layer. The surface is then machine compounded and polished to remove sanding marks and restore transparency. This step is where cloudy plastic transforms back into a clear, refreshed lens.
3
UV Sealing and Protection
A polished lens without protection will quickly re-oxidise under Perth's intense sun. We apply a UV-resistant sealant that bonds to the restored surface, slowing future yellowing and helping the clarity last. This final protective layer is what separates a lasting result from a short-lived polish.
